I love side volleys Klinnesmann could take a ball coming from one side flick it to the other side and sidevolley it for a goal.
Volleys are always nice to watch. But the most difficult volley shot is when you hit it with the top of the instep giving it an effect that the ball drops behind the goalie into the net. This is such a difficult shot for if you don't hit it just right , you have to go out to the stadium parking lot to look for the ball laying underneath a car somewhere..
Frank that reminds me when your trying things but in the back of your mind you think don't hit the ball over the fence because you have to go into traffic to get the ball back again.
Exactly , Nick, LOL
I wondering what most youth coaches here would say if one of there players would try a side volley off an opponents poor clearance header and did not finish that chance. Would they say just control the ball next time so they would never try it again. Or say it was a good idea. So next time they might try it again and score?
