Crowd control problems at the Europa League match between Arsenal and FC Cologne didn't prevent the match from going forward, to the surprise of Arsenal manager
Arsene Wenger.
The
problems triggered by the presence of thousands of FC Cologne fans who showed up in London for the Europa League even though the ticket allocation to the German club was 2,900.
"I thought
they would never take a gamble to play this game when I saw the images around the stadium," Wenger said after the match the Gunners won, 3-1.
