Soccer America Men's College Top 25

Maryland stayed No. 1 in the Soccer America Men's College 25 rankings. Stanford moved up one spot to No. 2, switching places with Indiana. ACC schools Notre Dame, Virginia, Wake Forest and Clemson held the next four spots. For the complete Top 25.
 
Week 4's big results:
Notre Dame 3 N.C. State 0. Matt Habrowski and Patrick Berneski scored off corner kicks and Jon Gallagher added a beautiful finish in the run of play just before halftime to give the Irish their fifth straight win to open the season.

North Carolina 2 Duke 1. Mauricio Pineda scored the game-winning goal late in the first half and Alan Winn continued his fourth goal in four games for the Tar Heels in an ACC match played at Macpherson Stadium in Browns Summit.

Michigan 0 Michigan State 1. DeJuan Jones scored with less than a minute remaining in the first overtime to give the Spartans the Big Bear Trophy before 2,637 fans in Ann Arbor.

Notable:
George Gelnovatch picked up his 300th win as Virginia head coach when the unbeaten Cavaliers beat Virginia Tech, 2-1, on a pair of goals by Edward Opoku.
