'Courageous' Wolfsburg denies Bayern Munich in Schmidt's debut

Wolfsburg recovered from 2-0 down at the half to tie Bayern Munich and deny the defending Bundesliga champions the top spot in the league after they appeared to be coasting to an easy victory at the Allianz Arena. Max Arnold's free kick and Daniel Didavi's header gave Wolfsburg the unexpected point in Munich.

The game marked the debut of Wolfsburg's new coach, Martin Schmidt, who said before the game, "You can put five, six or seven players at the back and say an 'Our Father' in the hope things go well. At the same time, though, you can pick up points by being courageous."
