Soccer America Women's College Top 25

Pac-12 rivals UCLA and Stanford remained 1-2 in the Soccer America Women's College 25 rankings. North Carolina moved up one spot to No. 3 while Duke and South Carolina round out the top five. For the complete Top 25 rankings.

Week 7's big results:

Ohio State 1 Penn State 0. Marike Mousset found Sammy Edwards at the far post for the game winner as the Buckeyes took over the Big Ten lead with a 4-1-0 conference record.

Notre Dame 1 Wake Forest 2. Wake defeated the Irish for the first time in program history, breaking a 1-1 tie in the 88th minute when Vicky Krug stole the ball and scored from 14 yards out.

South Carolina 2 Mississippi 0. The SEC-leading Gamecocks extended their winning streak to eight matches, getting goals from Elexa Bahr and Ryan Gareis.

    Oh come on now, members of the ranking committee/board, how come ONLY four Far West coast teams, all four from California? Like the men's rankings, did all the other women's programs wilt away, or failed to pay their dues that warranted their removal from any ranking consideration? Jeepers, and hjere I thought that there'd be more women's programs from west of the Mississippi, ranked?  I smell a rat!!!
