Watch: Earthquakes reach the playoffs with a stoppage-time strike

In the third minute of stoppage time, the game tied 2-2, Marco Urena, an 88th minute sub, scored the gamewinner that sends the San Jose Earthquakes to the playoffs for the first time since 2012 thanks to a 3-2 win over Minnesota. Chris Wondolowski provided the service for Urena, famous for shooting Costa Rica to the 2018 World Cup, after Quincy Amarikwa’s shot was blocked by goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth.
