Moving on: Former BU and Clash defender Emenalo steps down as Chelsea technical director

Michael Emenalo, who attended Boston University and went on to have a long pro career in Europe and with the San Jose Clash for the first two MLS seasons, is leaving Chelsea after 10 years, the last seven as its technical director.

The Nigerian international began working in Chelsea's scouting and coaching departments and was promoted to technical director in 2011.

Emenalo: "This has been a very difficult decision to make, but one I believe is right for both myself and my family, and the club. I have had the privilege to work alongside some of the most talented people in the world of sport over the past 10 years, and I will depart incredibly proud of the achievements we have made."
