NCAA Division I women's draw: Stanford, North Carolina, Duke and South Carolina take top seeds

Pac-12 champion Stanford and ACC champion North Carolina headline the 64-team field for the NCAA Division I Women's Tournament, joining Duke and South Carolina as No. 1 regional seeds.

First-round games will be played this weekend at campus sites. The second and third rounds will follow next week.

The NCAA Women's College Cup will be played Dec. 1-3 at Orlando City Soccer Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

    And are the home teams listed first, or should we assume the usual NCAA caprice?

    Sure as heck it is stranger than fiction! Question: why is Utah having to travel to Stanford, while UCLA and CS Fullerton play opponents within a 100 mile radius?
