Jacksonville's Jack Blake named NASL Young Player of the Year

English midfielder Jack Blake won the 2017 NASL Young Player of the Year award, which goes to the league's most outstanding player aged 23 and under.

2014: Christian Ramirez (Minn. United)
2015: Leo Fernandes (New York Cosmos)
2016: Abdoulaye Diakite (FC Edmonton)
2017: Jack Blake (Jacksonville)



Blake, a Nottingham Forest youth product, came to the United States in 2016 to play for Minnesota United, then in the NASL. In 2017, he led the Armada with nine goals and four assists.

His game-high was three goals --  including a pair of free kicks -- in the 3-2 win against Indy Eleven in August.
