English forward Jodie Taylor will return to the NWSL to play for Seattle

English international Jodie Taylor, winner of the Golden Boot as the top scorer at Euro 2017, is returning to the NWSL to play for her third club, signing with the Seattle Reign for the 2018 season.

Taylor currently plays for Arsenal in the FA Women’s Super League but will join Melbourne City as a guest player for the conclusion of their 2017–2018 W-League campaign. She will join five Reign players currently on loan to Melbourne City: Jessica Fishlock, Rebekah Stott, Lauren Barnes, Larissa Crummer and Lydia Williams.

Taylor, who played her college ball at Oregon State, spent the 2014 season with the Washington Spirit and 2015 season with the Portland Thorns. In 2014, she helped the Spirit reach the NWSL playoffs for the first time, scoring 11 goals, tied for third best in the league.

“I am really excited to be joining Reign FC,” said Taylor. “I’ve spent a lot of time playing in America, and I’m really pleased to be coming to Seattle. They’re a top club that I’ve admired, and the core values of the team are quite evident from the outside.”

Taylor made her England debut in 2014 and has scored 15 goals in 30 appearances. She led Euro 2017 with five goals.
