FC Cincinnati gets big jump on 2018 USL season with nine signings

Eliminated in the first round of the USL playoffs for the second year in a row, FC Cincinnati has wasted no time building its team for the 2018 season.

It has signed nine players, including goalkeeper Spencer Richey on loan from MLS's Vancouver Whitecaps to replace star keeper Mitch Hildebrandt, who has not been signed for 2018.

FC Cincinnati acquisitions:
D Paddy Barrett (Dundalk/IRE)
F Russell Cicerone (Portland Timbers 2, USL)
MF Tyler Gibson (SF Deltas, NASL)
F Daniel Haber (Real Monarchs, USL)
D Dekel Keinan (Maccabi Haifa/ISR)
D Forrest Lasso (Charleston Battery, USL)
GK Spencer Richey (Vancouver Whitecaps, MLS)
MF Will Seymore (Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2, USL)
GK Mark Village (Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2, USL)

FC Cincinnati, which is in the hunt for an MLS team slated to begin play in 2020, has bolstered its defense with the signing of 33-year-old Israeli international Dekel Keinan and All-USL defender Forrest Lasso.

FCC needs help in the back, where All-USL defender Harrison Delbridge had returned to his native Australia to play for Melbourne City.
