Jonathan Gonzalez's Monterrey wins again in Mexico's Liguilla

American teenager Jonathan Gonzalez started again for Monterrey in its 1-0 win at Morelia in the first leg of the semifinals in Liga MX's Torneo Apertura.

Aviles Hurtado scored the only goal on a penalty kick, but Colombian later left the game with an apparent leg injury. Monterrey swept Atlas 2-1 and 4-1 in the quarterfinals. Los Rayados host Morelia in the second leg of the semifinals on Sunday.

Tigres also won on the road in the other semifinal against Club America with a 1-0 victory at Azteca Stadium.

Monterrey and Tigres are on course to setting up a Clasico Regio final for the Apertura championship.
