MLS moves: Houston Dynamo enters offseason with 14 players under contract

Between players out of contract and those whose options weren't picked up, Western Conference Houston will enter the offseason with 14 players under contract -- and the loan agreements of two of them expire at the end of the year.

Just five Dynamo players were guaranteed contracts for 2018. In addition, seven had their options picked up.

The club declined contract options on 11 players: goalkeepers Tyler Deric and Calle Brown, defenders Jalil Anibaba, A.J. DeLaGarza and Taylor Hunter, midfielders Ricardo Clark, José Escalante, Boniek Garcia, Joe Holland, Christian Lucatero and winger Vicente Sanchez.

The contracts of Alex, Eric Alexander, DaMarcus Beasley, Dylan Remick and Joe Willis expired while midfielder Juan David Cabezas (Deportivo Cali) and forward Alberth Elis (Monterrey) were on loan. The Dynamo has until that date to negotiate a full transfer or extend the loan for each player.
