2017: Jozy Altidore leads all U.S. men with 22 goals

Jozy Altidore, whose scored the winning goal in MLS Cup 2017 for Toronto FC, finished as the leading scorer among U.S. men playing for first division teams in 2017 with 22 goals for TFC and the USA.

Altidore's 22 goals were the most since he scored 25 goals in 2012 for Dutch club AZ and the USA.



Clint Dempsey was the only other American with as many as 20 goals. Christian Pulisic (12 goals) was the only foreign-based player to finish in double digits.
