U.S. SOCCER: U.S. and Mexico face off May 8 in Houston

The United States and Mexico will meet for the first time since their 2002 World Cup match on May 8 at Reliant Stadium (kickoff: 7 pm CT; TV, ESPN2, delay, 10 pm ET).

Tickets for the game range in price from $27 to $150 and go on sale March 15.

The match will be the first soccer game at Reliant Stadium, home to the NFL's Houston Texans.

The only other U.S. match in Houston was at Delmar Stadium back in 1988, when it lost to Ecuador, 2-0, before a crowd of 10,500. The University of Houston's Robertson Stadium is the site of numerous international matches involving Mexican clubs.

Houston is considered a top market for MLS expansion.
