What They're Saying: Tyler Adams

“We can't change the past. That's behind us now. So we have to look forward and look at what's positive, and what's positive is the amount of youth that we have produced that are making a difference in the country. I think that I can play a big role going forward. A lot of other young guys probably have their eyes set on that as well. Now it's getting on the field, getting experience, and moving forward.”

Best of luck, Tyler Adams--you're going to need a bit of it. Unfortunately, you are sadly mistaken about this What's Positive stuff. If you were correct, we'd have a dozen Tyler Adams' running around in MLS. But we don't. I'm glad for you, but wonder about all those others able to play at your level but haven't been able to nagivate our hodge-podge system. it sounds like you're going to fit into the Beasley mold, which means the USMNT knows what to do with you. If you were a 10, though, chances are you wouldn't have gotten the call..nothing personal, but the USMNT doesn't know how to use one properly.
