U.S. Soccer presidential election: Who votes?

So who will vote in the U.S. Soccer presidential election on Feb. 10 in Orlando?

The National Council is made up of member organizations (national and state associations and affiliates and pro leagues) and individuals (athletes, board members and life members).

Nuts and bolts: How U.S. Soccer's presidential election will work

Delegates:
The number of delegates for each national and state association is based on the number of registered players.  Delegates are usually officers, directors or senior executives of the organization.

Voting Strength:
-- By Federal law, athletes of any national governing body (U.S. Soccer's Athlete Council) get 20 percent of the vote.
-- The three other Councils (Youth, Adult and Professional Council) have equal shares of the vote.
-- The equal one-third shares of the three other councils are slightly diluted by the single votes of miscellaneous members: national associations and affiliates, board members, life members (up to 12 total votes) and as of 2018 two fan representatives.

Below is a list of National Council members and whom they support. (The multipliers refer to the added weight of each vote so the Athlete Council's vote is equal to 20 percent and shares of the other three other Councils are equal.)

Caveats.
1.
The number of delegates for the Adult Council and Youth Council are from the 2017 National Council, as approved by the Credentials Committee. The number of delegates for the 2018 National Council will be approved by the Credentials Committee on Feb. 9, but the numbers should be comparable to the 2017 numbers in most cases.

2. Support for a candidate is based on public declarations from the member for one of the eight candidates since Dec. 12, not individual statements of support or social media comments. Some members will have given support for a candidate but have chosen not to make their support public. The vote will be secret so there is no obligation to declare their support.

May the best qualified person win and immediately start to begin a long overdue reinvention of the USSF into a proactive institution for the welfare of the game, not politics..
