NWSL College Draft: Washington Spirit holds first pick

The Washington Spirit holds the first pick in the 2018 NWSL College Draft that will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. ET at the United Soccer Coaches Convention in Philadelphia.

The Spirit is expected to take local product Andi Sullivan, who led Stanford to the 2017 NCAA Division I title and is currently with the U.S. national team in California preparing for Sunday's game against Denmark. Sullivan is not on the list of registered players but is expected to be added as a U.S. national team allocation.

The Spirit also has the sixth pick in the College Draft, acquired from the Chicago Red Stars in exchange for midfielder Kristie Mewis.

The draft will take place at the Philadelphia Convention Center (CC Grand Ballroom). For fans who cannot attend, they can watch the proceedings via Facebook, YouTube, NWSLsoccer.com and NWSL app.
