MLS Preseason: Gio Reyna and Sebastien Ibeagha at NYCFC preseason camp

New York City FC traveled to Jacksonville, Florida, to open MLS preseason with 31 players. They included U.S. U-16 star Gio Reyna, the son of NYCFC sporting director Claudio Reyna, and Sebastien Ibeagha, the 2017 USL Defender of the Year with San Antonio FC.

Gio Reyna is one of five academy players with the first team in preseason for the first time. The others include Tyler Shaver, who represented the USA at the 2017 Under-17 World Cup.

Young DP signing Jesus Medina is at first stage of preparations for NYCFC's fourth MLS season, while other international additions Cedric Hountondji, Ismael Tajouri and Jo Inge Berget are expected to join later after they get paperwork sorted out.

Defenders: Saad Abdul-Salaam, Alexander Callens, Maxime Chanot, *Cedric Hountondji, Ronald Matarrita, Ben Sweat, Anton Tinnerholm.
Midfielders: Kwame Awuah, Yangel Herrera, Tommy McNamara, Jesus Medina, Maxi Moralez, Alex Ring, James Sands, *Ismael Tajouri.
Forwards: *Jo Inge Berget, Jack Harrison, Jonathan Lewis, David Villa, Rodney Wallace.
