MLS Moves: Impact grabs Algerian Taider on loan from Bologna

The Montreal Impact ended its loan arrangement for Blerim Dzemaili with Bologna, but has gone back to the Italian club owned by Impact owner Joey Saputo for another player, Algerian World Cup midfielder Saphir Taider.

France-born Taider has 42 caps for Algeria and has also played at Grenoble, Juventus, Southampton and Juventus.

New Impact coach Remi Garde says Taider, 25, could be one of the best players in MLS.

"It's an excellent signing for our club because Saphir is both young and has a lot of experience on the European stage," he said. "His career thus far in some of Serie A's biggest clubs and with the Algerian national team makes him a very important player who can help the Impact win trophies in the seasons to come."
