Podcast: Woitalla and Trecker on USA soccer past, present and future

Soccer America's Mike Woitalla and U.S. Soccer Historian Jim Trecker appear on the United Soccer Coaches Podcast.

Trecker, the National Soccer Hall of Fame' the 2017 Colin Jose Media Award recipient who spent four decades in soccer media relations, recalls the Pele-Johan Cruyff era of the NASL and the rise of soccer's popularity in the USA, in the interview with Dean Linke.

Woitalla, who was awarded the 2017 United Soccer Coaches' Presidential Recognition Award, recounts highlights of three decades in soccer journalism, offers his view on how the American soccer community is reacting to the U.S. Soccer presidential election, and is put on the spot to name his favorite all-time women's and men's U.S. national team players.

Woitalla joins at the 29:00 mark.
