Nashville SC moves USL opener to Nissan Stadium after preseason sellout

Following the sellout crowd of 9,049 that showed up -- in the rain -- for Nashville SC's first-ever game at First Tennessee Park, a preseason match against Atlanta United FC, the USL expansion team has moved its first home game of the regular season to Nissan Stadium, home of the NFL Titans.

The game against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on March 24 will be the first soccer game at Nissan Stadium since two big crowds showed up over the summer -- 47,662 fans for a USA-Panama Gold Cup match and 56,232 fans for Manchester City-Tottenham in the International Champions Cup.

"By moving this event to Nissan Stadium," said Nashville SC CEO Court Jeske, "Nashville Soccer Club wanted to ensure that every fan that wants to take in history will have the opportunity to do so.”
