College Coaching Moves: Oshoniyi lands Dartmouth men's job

Former MLS keeper Bo Oshoniyi, who spent the last four years as the head coach of the East Tennessee State, has been named the new men’s coach at Dartmouth.

Oshoniyi is just the 11th head coach in over 100 years of men's soccer at Dartmouth, which captured Ivy League titles each of the last four years -- the first time that's happened in the league in 32 years. Chad Riley, who played at Notre Dame and was an assistant under Bobby Clark, left Dartmouth to succeed the Scotsman as the Irish men's head coach.

Oshoniyi was the 2016 and 2017 Southern Conference Coach of the Year with a record of 36-24-15 as a head coach at ETSU. Previously, he was an assistant at Penn State and Wake Forest.

Oshoniyi played 12 years as a pro the New York Centaurs, Connecticut Wolves, Charleston Battery and Atlanta Silverbacks before being selected by the Columbus Crew in the inaugural MLS draft. In 2000, he began a six-year stint playing for the Kansas City Wizards.

Hey the news that my good amigo Seamus McFadden has stepped down after, at least, what,? 40 years (someone correct this please!) leaves quite a spot to fill and I am sure that Brian Quinn will do a very good and capable job.  So Sludos & all the best to our amigo Seamus!!!
