LAFC sells out season tickets at 17,500 cap

Los Angeles FC has sold out of full-season ticket packages for its first MLS season. That accounts for 17,500 of the 22,000 seats at Banc of California Stadium, set to open on April 29.

Tickets are available for “The North End” supporters section, partial plans, groups and single games. The $350 million Banc of California Stadium is located in the heart of Los Angeles in Exposition Park.
“The passion and enthusiasm of our supporters has truly been special,” LAFC owner and president Tom Penn said. “Together with our community, we continue to make soccer history in the heart of Los Angeles. There is still a lot of work to do, but I cannot wait to see and feel the electric atmosphere at Banc of California Stadium this Spring. There will not be a sports experience like it in L.A.”

Sounds good on the front end.  You have designated almost 80% of available  seats to season tickets and they have been sold.  Money in the bank.  Now you have 20% of available seats left which will be available to those who most likely will be testing the waters to measure whether its worth while or not or dont have the money to commit to season tickets.  Not a lot of room to grow interest in the game in an area as big as LA even with two teams there and a lot of soccer fans out there looking to see the game.  Kind of sounds like the DA in a round about way.
