World Cup Countdown: Peru calls up MLS duo Yotun and Polo for friendlies

Orlando City midfielder Yoshi Yotun and Portland Timbers midfielder Andy Polo have been called up for World Cup 2018 finalist Peru's friendly games against Croatia on March 23 in Miami and Iceland on March 27 in Harrison, N.J.

Yotun and Polo played in 15 and nine World Cup 2018 qualifiers for La Blanquirroja, which qualified for the first time since 1982.

Coach Ricardo Gareca called up 26 players, including three newcomers -- Cristian Benavente, Roberto Siucho and Alejandro Duarte.
