College coaching moves: Michigan lures Jennifer Klein away from USC

Michigan hired USC associate head coach Jennifer Klein as the head coach of its women's program, replacing Greg Ryan.

Klein spent four seasons at USC, the last three as associate head coach. The Trojans won the 2016 national championship. She has been with the U.S. U-18s in La Manga, Spain, for game against England, the Netherlands and Norway.

Klein, who played at Arizona, was the head coach for two seasons at UNLV, guiding the Rebels to a 19-18-4 record. She was the youngest head coach in NCAA Division I women's soccer when she was hired in 2010. After UNLV, Klein spent two seasons as an assistant at Washington State, where she worked under Keidane McAlpine.

McAlpine and Klein joined USC for the 2014 season.
