USA to face Wales in San Jose May 26

The U.S. men's national team, which faces Venezuela Saturday in a friendly in Seattle, has added another friendly to its 2003 schedule. It fill face Wales on May 26 (Memorial Day) in San Jose.

It will mark the first meeting between the USA and Wales, which is enjoying an impressive run in European Championship qualifying, having beaten Finland, Italy and Azerbaijan in its first three games.

''The match against Wales represents an important opportunity to help finalize our team prior to the Confederations Cup,'' U.S. coach Bruce Arena said. ''Wales are traditionally a strong side with some great individual talent, and will provide a great challenge as we prepare for the difficult matches ahead.''

The Americans, who meet Mexico in a May 8 friendly in Houston, face Brazil, Cameroon and Turkey Confederations Cup in France (June 18-29).
