Why/how is there a Surf club in Northern California? And a Galaxy team in San Diego? If I were a prospective player's parent, I would be very careful with these new clubs made of whole cloth. This is the kind of nonsense that should be managed by USSF--families shouldn't be treated as lab animals, hoping the next assemblage of marginal coaches will fare better than the last one.
We didn't instantly grow 50 top notch coaches in Cal North--are these programs cobbled together from the carcasses of other failed clubs? Do these coaches have professional experience? What about the existing DA programs that aren't developing players that make it to national camps? Do they get de-listed?
