Youth: Three foreign-based players in U.S. U-16 boys camp

Coach Shaun Tsakiris  is holding a eight-day, 36-player U.S. U-16 boys national team camp at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Carson, California, March 10-17.

All the players except for 2004-born Dantouma Toure of New Jersey club PDA were born in 2003.

The camp at which Tsakiris' players will play games against mixed-age teams from the Los Angeles Galaxy and Club Tijuana is the year's second gathering for the U.S. U-16s. Fourteen of the players called in took part in January's mega-camp in which 153 players spread over five teams trained in Lakewood Ranch, Florida; 22 players are making their debuts with the 2018-19 cycle.

Three players are foreign-based: Vaughn Covil (Southhampton/England), Chitua Hani-Okafor (Sheffield Wednesday/England), Dylan Kelemen (Universidad Católica/Chile).
