Andrija Novakovich takes season haul in Eerste Divisie to 17 goals

Wisconsin product Andrija Novakovich scored two more goals in Telstar's 3-2 win at Almere City to give him 17 goals in 28 games in the Eerste Divisie, the Dutch second division.

Novakovich, who joined Telstar on loan from England's Reading, is second in the league in scoring with nine games to play. The two goals marked the fifth time he has scored twice in a game.

He made two brief League Championship appearances late in his first season at Reading, was loaned out to non-league Cheltenham Town for part of his second season but then spent two seasons with Reading's U-23s.

Telstar is fourth in the 20-team Eerste Divisie.
