"College soccer is the laughingstock of the soccer world now."

-- Longtime Maryland men's coach Sasho Cirovski on the flight of the top young soccer players to the pros, a problem that he says can only stop if the NCAA steps in and institutes a split season. Otherwise, Cirovski warns, "it will kill our sport." (ESPN FC)

    The coaches should have been pushing this for years now. For many it would interfere with their pay to play bolstered salaries. Many faux-pseudo soccer types filling the university coaching ranks.

    Ships, man , take it easy on those faux-pseudo types who fill the university coaching ranks..
    This has been happening for decades. Back in '93 during our 25th anniversary of Maryland winning the NCAA championship, I expressed my opinions on college soccer to Cirovski ,who ended up saying that I was being negative about college soccer. Apparently he wasn't able to see it at that time......
