Youth: Bundesliga-bound Gloster and Jones head team at U-18 Slovakia Cup

Chris Gloster (Hannover 96) and Zyen Jones (FC Schalke 04), who both agreed to join Bundesliga clubs when they turn 18, are among the players Coach Dave van den Bergh, selected for the U-18 Slovakia Cup in Trnava.

Slovakia Cup Schedule:
May 7: USA vs. Kazakhstan
May 8: USA vs. Ukraine
May 10: USA vs. Czech Republic
May 11: USA vs. TBD (Placement Match)

Also in the team is Taylor Booth, who is expected to sign with Bayern Munich when he obtains an Italian passport.

Gloster and Booth among seven players from the 2017 U.S. U-17 World Cup team called in for the tournament, which the USA won in 2016. It was at that tournament that Schalke 04 discovered Weston McKennie.

U.S. Soccer is identifying the team as the U-19 MNT, projecting ahead to its 2019 age group. All but Booth (born in 2001) were born in 2000.
