LAFC signed 18-year-old Haitian attacker Steeve Saint-Duc
, who will be added to its roster when MLS's secondary transfer window opens on July 10.
Saint-Duc was the MVP and top
scorer when Haiti won the Caribbean Football Union’s 2016 U-17 Championship and captained Haiti at the 2017 Concacaf Championship.
The left-footed Saint-Duc is a product of the
Academie Camp Nous, an initiative of the Haitian soccer federation and sports ministry to train and educate young stars.
“At just 18 years old, Steeve has the best years of his
career ahead of him,” said LAFC general manager John Thorrington
. “We look forward to helping Steeve with his development and continued growth as a professional.”
LAFC also announced it waived forward Rodrigo Pacheco
, who arrived on a one-year loan last September and made only one MLS appearance.
