Open Cup: Ocean City Nor'easters fall short in third round

Ocean City Nor’easters, one of the most successful amateur clubs against pro teams in the history of the U.S. Open Cup, saw their 2018 Open Cup run end on Tuesday when they fell at the USL's North Carolina FC, 4-1.

Dutchman Marios Lomis and Austin da Luz led NCFC with goals in the first half and assists on the third goal. Lomis and da Luz scored to give NCFC 1-0 and 2-1 leads, respectively. In the second half, Lomis and da Luz helped set up Dre Fortune, and Cameroonian Donovan Ewolo completed the scoring when he deflected D.J.
