Scouting Report: Under-strength Bolivia starts out tour against USA

Like the USA, Bolivia will be fielding an experimental team with 11 uncapped players in the squad for Monday night's friendly in Chester, Pennsylvania.

Mexican coach Eduardo Fentanes will serve as a fill-in for new national team coach, Venezuelan Cesar Farias, whose club team, The Strongest, had a semifinal match in the Bolivian league playoffs against Bolivar on Sunday. No players from the four semifinalists -- The Strongest, Bolivar, Wilstermann and San Jose -- were picked for La Verde, which next heads to Austria for friendlies against South Korea and Serbia.

Only two players -- Chilean-based goalkeeper Carlos Lampe and defender Jose Sagredo -- in the squad started in Bolivia's final match in South American World Cup qualifying, where it finished ninth out of 10 teams, ahead of only Venezuela.

Last meeting. The USA-Bolivia game comes two years to the day after their last meeting, a tuneup for the 2016 Copa Centenario.

The USA won, 4-0, for its first victory over Bolivia in seven meetings. At the age of 17, Christian Pulisic became the youngest goal scorer in the modern era of the national team with a goal in the 69th minute.

Pulisic is the only American who played in that game and will be with the USA on Monday night. Two Bolivians are holdovers. Goalkeeper Guillermo Viscarra earned his only cap in the game, while D.C. United's Bruno Miranda came on as a sub.
