MLS: Shootout package now available on cable

The MLS Shooutout package, which gives fans access to regional telecasts of MLS games, is now available through cable pay-per-view provider iN DEMAND. Previously in 2002, only small-dish owners -- DishNetwork and DirectTV -- had access to $49 (suggested retail price) package. Using the coming weekend as an example, Shootout Package buyers can see three MLS games -- Kansas City-Los Angeles, D.C. United-Chicago and MetroStars-Dallas -- in addition to the nationally televised San Jose-Columbus match (ESPN2).
