Tim Ream becomes third American to be named Fulham's player of the season

For the fifth time, an American has been named English club Fulham's player of the season.

After Brian McBride in 2005-06 andf 2006-07 and Clint Dempsey in 2010-11 and 2011-12, defender Tim Ream was honored for his play during the Cottagers' 2017-18 season that ended with them winning promotion.

Ream, 30, played every minute of his 47 starts for the London club in the Championship. He was also named player of the season twice at Bolton Wanderers, where he spent his first five seasons in England.

Ream beat out 18-year-old Ryan Sessegnon, considered one of the top young players in England. Sessegnon led Fulham with 15 Championship goals.

Very impressive for a defender to win such an award.  Well done Tim!
