Lichaj to Hull City: 'It's a fresh start for me'

After five seasons at Nottingham Forest, American Eric Lichaj has moved to English Championship rival Hull City, where he signed a two-year deal with a club option for a third.

Lichaj, 29, began his English career at Aston Villa before moving to Forest, where he played 190 games. But his 23 appearances in 2017-18 were the fewest during his stay at the City Ground.

"It's a fresh start for me," said Lichaj, "and I want to repay Hull City for the faith that they have shown in me by bringing me here. I'll be working my hardest, as I always do, every day in training and on matchdays."

Lichaj started for the USA in its 3-0 win over Bolivia. He dressed for the matches at Ireland and France.
