Six Atlanta United players named to MLS All-Star Fan XI

Atlanta United, host of the 2018 MLS All-Star Game, dominated fan voting with six players named to the MLS All-Star Fan XI.

They include three Americans -- goalkeeper Brad Guzan, defender Michael Parkhurst and midfielder Darlington Nagbe -- plus Miguel Almiron, Ezequiel Barco and MLS Golden Boot leader Josef Martinez.

Atlanta head coach “Tata” Martino will coach the MLS All-Stars against Juventus Aug. 1 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Two players from LAFC -- captain Laurent Ciman and Mexico World Cup national team forward Carlos Vela -- were also picked.

Barco, Martinez and Vela are first-time selections along with LA Galaxy forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The 2018 MLS All-Star gameday roster will consist of 24 players. In addition to the Fan Best XI, there will be Commissioner’s Picks and 11 players selected by Martino.

Goalkeeper: Brad Guzan (Atlanta United).
Defenders: Michael Parkhurst (Atlanta United), Laurent Ciman (LAFC), Graham Zusi (Sporting KC).
Midfielders: Miguel Almiron (Atlanta United), Ezequiel Barco (Atlanta United), Darlington Nagbe (Atlanta United), Diego Valeri (Portland).
Forwards: Josef Martinez (Atlanta United), Zlatan Ibrahimovic (LA Galaxy), Carlos Vela (Los Angeles FC).
