Atlanta United loses Darlington Nagbe for 2-3 months, signs Argentine Remedi

Atlanta United will be without U.S. men's national team midfielder Darlington Nagbe for 2-3 months because of an injury to his right adductor suffered in the second half of Sunday’s 1-1 tie with Portland.

The injury came one day before he was named to the MLS all-star team.

In a move unrelated to Nagbe's injury, the Five Stripes signed Argentine midfielder Eric Remedi, who has spent his entire professional career in Argentina’s Primera Division with Banfield. He’ll be available when the secondary transfer window opens on July 10.

The 23-year-old Remedi, who has made 68 appearances across all competitions in three years, is expected to take over as the Atlanta United No. 6.
