Efrain Alvarez ups total to eight goals in seven USL games

Efrain Alvarez, the 16-year-old sensation, scored two more goals in LA Galaxy II's 5-3 win over Seattle Sounders FC 2 to give him eight goals in only seven USL games.

Alvarez has played only 484 minutes, so he's scored a goal every 60.5 minutes.

The Mexican youth international opened the second-half scoring when he ran on to a long pass and curled his shot around Seattle keeper Sam Fowler from a tight angle. Alvarez scored his second goal after 17-year-old Alex Mendez scored his first pro goal on a free kick.

V promising young player. But obviously sub-par since he's only 5'-8" and can't possibly play an attacking position properly in the US. /S

Another American of hispanic background USSF has ignored.

Another bites the dust! Where’s our 1 Scout? Out to lunch with Garber and Gulati I assume. What a bunch of arogent pricks. Some things change, USSF never changes.

It sounds like USSF scouting initially worked as he was a U15 US youth international. Galaxy and Ramos are good examples of soccer in USA embracing Hispanics which  PG fails to mention in his recent column. Maybe his parents influenced his decision to switch?
