MLS All-Star Game: Quintero and Adams added to MLS roster

Darwin Quintero and Tyler Adams were added to the MLS roster for Wednesday’s MLS All-Star Game against Italian champion Juventus.

The moves follow the decision of LA Galaxy forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic not to fly to Atlanta and New York City FC forward David Villa's unavailability due to his ongoing recovery from a knee injury. Ibra and Villa, who has missed NYCFC's previous six matches, will both be suspended for their next MLS games.

Quintero  has nine goals and eight assists in 17 matches since joining Minnesota United, while Adams, who plays for the New York Red Bulls, is already a fixture in the U.S national team midfield at the age of 19.

Following a spate of last-minute withdrawals in 2015, MLS instituted a rule that players who withdraw at the last minute are automatically suspended for their next game.
