Youth: U.S. U-14s reach final of Concacaf U-15 Girls Championship

The USA will face Mexico on Monday in the final of the Concacaf Girls' U-15 Championship. Coach April Kater's team, comprised mostly of 2004-born players and four 2005s, beat guest team Portugal, 3-0, in the semifinals while Mexico advanced with a 2-0 win over Costa Rica.

The Americans had opened with a 8-0 rout of Jamaica and a 2-0 loss to Portugal, but earned a rematch with Portuguese in the semifinals thanks to an 8-0 win over El Salvador. Amelia Van Zanten and Allison Montoya scored for the USA, which was also gifted an own goal, in the semifinal win after a six-hour weather delay in Bradenton, Florida.

The final will be streamed live at Concacaf.com, (11 am ET on Monday).
