Sac Republic's Roberto Hategan scores twice in U.S. U-18 win

The USA opened the 2018 U-18 Vaclav Jezek Tournament in the Czech Republic with a 2-1 win over the United Arab Emirates. Roberto Hategan, a 17-year-old plays for the Sacramento Republic's, scored both U.S. goals for the USA, which faces Bulgaria on Wednesday and host Czech Republic on Friday in Group A.

In June of 2017, at age 16, Hategan became Sacramento Republic's first academy player to get signed by the first team. He has been part of the U.S. national team pool since U-14s. In February, Hategan scored in a 3-0 U.S. U-18s' friendly win over Costa Rica.
