Romain Gall scored a pair of golazos for his first two goals since joining Swedish champion Malmo in a 5-0 win over IK Sirius, and he now has eight goals in the Allsvenskan, tied for eighth in
the league.
Gall scored with his left-foot blast to the far post
from just inside the area to make it 2-0 in the 67th minute, then finished off a long run with an angled shot with his right foot five minutes later.
The former U.S. U-20 forward parlayed
a strong start to the Swedish season at GIF Sundsvall into a move to Malmo for a reported transfer fee of more than 5 million kronor ($560,000).
Malmo has won all four league games Gall
has played and moved into fourth place. It has not lost a game since the World Cup break in June though it was eliminated from the UEFA Champions League
The 23-year old Gall, who was
born and raised in France, had six goals in Sundsvall's first 13 league games in addition to two goals in three cup games this year. He was the co-leading scorer in 2015 Concacaf qualifying but didn't
make the USA's final Under-20 World Cup roster.
