The NWSL semifinal match between the runaway Shield winner North Carolina Courage and Chicago Red Stars scheduled to be played on Sunday in Cary, North Carolina, has been moved to Portland, Oregon,
due to the uncertainty of the impact of Hurricane Florence in North Carolina.
The semifinal game has been rescheduled for Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on ESPNEWS, and
streamed live on the ESPN App, from Providence Park.
The league said the move was made in the best interests of the safety and well-being of fans, players and staff.
switch means all three playoff games will be played in Portland. The Thorns host the Seattle Reign on Tuesday, and the NWSL championship game will be played at Providence Park four days later.
Tickets for the neutral site match will be $10 general admission.
