New UEFA Champions League season kicks off on new networks and with new times

The new UEFA Champions League season kicks off Tuesday on new networks and with additional kickoff times.

Television. Turner Sports and Univision Deportes wrestled the rights away from Fox Soccer, so that means U.S. fans will have to navigate new networks and streaming channels. And for the first time, UEFA has split the air times of matches for the group stage, introducing two early kickoffs each Tuesday and Wednesday.

-- Turner Sports (English language) will air two games each day during the group stage on TNT, and all eight games each day will be shown on new pay-streaming service B/R Live.

-- Univision Deportes (Spanish language) will air games on Univision, Galavision, UniMas and UDN -- both early games and three late games -- and stream all games at UnivisionDeportes.com.

Americans. After again sitting out league action, Christian Pulisic should be available off the bench for Borussia Dortmund, which opens at Club Brugge, whose backup goalkeeper is Ethan Horvath.

Weston McKennie, who also didn't dress over the weekend after returning from national team duty, could make his Champions League debut for Schalke 04 against Portuguese champion Porto. Tim Weah, who hasn't dressed in Paris St. Germain's last three games, was not in PSG's traveling squad for its match at Liverpool.
