Youth: U.S. U-17 girls face Mexico, England and Colombia to prep for U-17 World Cup

Coach Mark Carr  has named a 26-player roster for the USA's final tournament ahead of picking his 21-player roster for the 2018 U-17 World Cup in Uruguay (Nov. 13-Dec. 1). Carr's team will play fellow U-17 World Cup qualifiers Colombia (Oct. 10) and Mexico (Oct. 12), and England (Oct. 14) in a four-team round robin in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.

Nineteen of the players were born in 2001 -- the cutoff year for the upcoming U-17 World Cup -- five are 2002s, and one was born in 2003 (15-year-old forward Trinity Byars), one in 2004 (14-year-old forward Allyson Sentnor).

The USA beat Mexico, 3-2, in the 2018 Concacaf U-17 Championship final that served as U-17 World Cup qualifying.

Colombia finished runner-up to Brazil in South America qualifying.

England misses this year's U-17 World Cup, having finished fourth in UEFA qualifying, behind qualifiers Finland, Germany and Spain.
