1. Tom Sermanni has been named New Zealand's women's national team coach. The Scotsman, who previously coached Australia (2005-12) and the
USA (2013-14), stepped down from his position as head coach of the NWSL's Orlando Pride in September. Oceania qualifying for the Women's World Cup will take place Nov. 18-Dec. 1 in New Caledonia.
Following a recent review of the tenure of Sermanni's predecessor, Austrian Andreas Heraf, New Zealand Football apologized to the Football Ferns for failing to stop his bullying and
harassment.
2. Andres Cantor will lead Telemundo's live coverage of 2019 Women's World Cup draw from Paris on Dec. 8.
The draw will take place at the Seine Musicale performing arts center in the Paris suburb of Boulogne-Billancourt.
3. BMO Financial
group will continue as the Montreal Impact's jersey partner, agreeing to a new long-term partnership that began in 2012. BMO is also involved with the Impact in many programs supporting soccer in
the province of Quebec.
