1. Former U.S. U-20 star Chioma Ubogagu has been called into the English women's national team for friendlies against Austria and Sweden. Born in London to Nigerian immigrants, Ubogagu won the 2012 Under-20 Women's World Cup with the USA and was called into the senior national team for games against Canada in November 2017 after her first season with the Orlando Pride but did not play. The Stanford product is eligible to make a one-time switch of association.

2. The Colorado Rapids signed a USL affiliation agreement with the Colorado Springs Switchbacks, replacing the Charlotte Independence with which they worked for four seasons. The Rapids will send the Switchbacks four players on season-long loans, plus additional players on short-term loans determined on a weekly basis. The rest of the roster will consist of players under contract to the Switchbacks.

3. The Michigan Bucks will be leaving their home in Pontiac, Michigan, for Flint in 2019 as part of a rebranding of one of the nation's most successful amateur teams. They will play at Kettering University’s Atwood Stadium, which seats about 10,000 fans in contrast to the 2,000 fans at Ultimate Soccer Arenas in Pontiac. The club has been in existence since 1995 and won PDL (now USL League Two) titles in 2006, 2014 and 2016.
